Customer Support Engineer

We are looking for an enthusiastic, pro-active person to join our Customer Support Team to work predominantly with our latest product Radius Studio, a spatial processing, analysis and compliance engine that makes comprehensive use of the Oracle technology stack. The solution provides a data certification platform delivered in a J2EE architecture that ensures the quality and consistency of spatial data.
You will have a sound experience of Customer Support with a good Unix skills, and experience of some or all of the following:

  • Oracle Database (Oracle Spatial experience would be an advantage)
  • Supporting web and J2EE applications is desirable
  • Java programming
  • Geo-spatial Data

Due to the customer-facing nature of this position we expect you to have well-developed communication skills.   An ability to deliver presentations, training courses and write reports is essential.

Working as part of a team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Responding to customer queries
  • Investigating and resolving customer issues
  • Testing new versions of software
  • Reviewing user documentation and training courses
  • Delivery of standard and bespoke training courses
  • Preparation of tender responses and system specifications
  • Installation and configuration of software at customer sites
  • Trouble shooting
  • Development of new demonstrations

Working as part of account teams on business development Applicants must be willing to travel outside of the UK and Europe and must hold a EU passport or current UK work permit.
