Transport for London - Les Hawker The spatial data integration challenges facing Transport for London
Abstract:
Transport for London manages the main London arterials that may only consist of five percent by length, but carry one-third of the traffic. The service provided depends on how well we maintain the thousands of individual sections of carriageway and footway, and lights, structures, signs, bollards etc against factors such as safety, cost, sustainability, and compliance with the Mayor's strategies. All of this requires the integration of a large number of disparate data sets, in different formats held against different referencing models. The presentation with consider the challenges this poses.
