West Lothian Council (WLC) had come to a crossroads with their spatial data strategy. There were several different departments using Ordnance Survey data but employing different applications and structures to process it and WLC needed to centralise the system.
1Spatial assisted WLC in creating a strategy for their planned move to OS MasterMap™. After undertaking an initial consultation, 1Spatial produced a detailed report providing WLC with a number of options on how to maximise any investment made in the move towards OS MasterMap. 1Spatial subsequently implemented WLC’s chosen system and helped them integrate their data into a central repository. This enabled more streamlined management and administration of that data and removed duplication of effort from the process, leaving a net result of better use of staff time and overall time savings in the data management process.
