FIG International Congress 2010
11th April to 16th April 2010
Sydney
Australia
Michael Dixon, Project Manager, PSMA Australia and Tom Spencer, Senior Consultant, 1Spatial will present a paper at this year's FIG congress.
PSMA Australia is a government-owned company that was established to coordinate assembly of and facilitate access to fundamental national datasets. The Administrative Boundaries dataset is a product that is developed by PSMA Australia and it contains critical data pertaining to Australian Bureau of Statistics, Electoral, Local Government, State Boundaries and Suburb/ Localities. This is vital information for the Australian community, and PSMA Australia recognises the need to make this data as readily available and as high a quality as possible. To do this, PSMA Australia embarked on an innovative project to automate the processing of Administrative Boundaries data using expertise and solutions from 1Spatial.
FIG 2010 will be the largest surveying Congress in Australia and the Pacific region in 2010 and will therefore be a major attraction for Australian and regional visitors as well. We have made special efforts to get surveyors from New Zealand, Asia and the Pacific islands to attend. FIG 2010 will include one of the biggest trade shows in FIG history. We look forward to good attendances at the professional program, the exhibition and customised technical tours and workshops.
