1Spatial have released Radius Vision™ and Radius Mobile™ 4.2, a new version that includes several new modules and enhanced functionality in a number of areas.

Radius Vision is a topological editor and powerful product in the distribution, production and management of digital maps. It provides full mapping and plotting functionality and has advanced customisable data editing features. The system is fully scaleable, at home on a single desktop or as an enterprise-wide mapping solution. A group of backend modules makes it very easy to create production lines, producing plots, digital data, reports or other outputs.

Radius Mobile is the mobile version of Radius Vision that has been optimised for running on small-screen pen computers with no keyboard input required. The system incorporates a set of survey functions, which can be used to construct geometry from survey data captured in the field. A range of EDM and GPS equipments can be connected to Radius Mobile. Maps can be downloaded to mobile computers, taken out into the field and updated onsite, allowing map maintenance to be combined with the surveying process.

The new version incorporates a new General Oracle Connector. This connector provides support for editing on any Oracle schemas/tables containing spatial columns (sdo_geometry). It provides a very flexible way of selecting the tables/columns to load.

This new version also incorporates several new backend modules for setting up production lines;

• Lsprodline – powerful production line tool featuring: SQL database support, logging, variable expansion, iterators for files, directories, strings and database rows through ODBS, automated error checking and optional error handler control, and flow control facilities
• Processgfo – a powerful tool for theme and property manipulation, spatial/property analysis and extraction and merge/split files according to the rules
• Edgematcher – automatic edge-matching featuring: any shape of the edgegeometry, valid exceptions support, lines and face matching, and Oracle spatial support.
• TransformFile – provides GFO transformation support (replaces PRODAT)

A Gothic connector along with a Gothic Transfer manager is also available, providing integration with other Radius family products.

The functionality of the core Radius Vision product has also been enhanced in a number of areas including a number of new review and script functions. This enables tailoring of functionality, especially in the area of Data Quality. Also included is improved dictionary support (with lists and indexed lists), centrally stored options and MSI setup, which enables easy deployment of the new version.
