In the near future Radius Sentry implements the functionality previously available as Radius Topology. Radius Topology then becomes the topology storage model that is populated by Radius Sentry. So, you will be able to use Radius Sentry with either Radius Topology OR  the Oracle Topology storage model. Radius Sentry will provide an Oracle Topology loading mechanism for your legacy data, providing a massive head start for Oracle Topology implementations.

Radius Sentry™ is a flexible and lightweight component that extends the Oracle Database and implements feature-level geometric correction based on user-defined rules. Radius Sentry:

Radius Sentry provides feature-level geometric correction both in bulk for legacy data and in a gatekeeper mode for new updates to the database. This means that all existing applications that update the database can benefit from this server-side data cleaning.

Radius Sentry will automatically create a topological representation of this cleaned data and maintain this topology persistently. It uses either the Radius Topology or Oracle Topology data models that sit alongside your existing business objects.

Radius Sentry bridges the gap between your GI tools and Oracle topology. You can use any standard GIS for editing your geometry features and the topology information is automatically maintained alongside. Radius Sentry can therefore populate Oracle Topology data from existing spatial information.  This extra topology information allows precise and ultra-fast techniques for analysing, auditing and enhancing your data within the database. This provides massive return on investment by allowing you to automate or streamline difficult or costly processes and to enhance the services that you provide.
